Flint and grapefruit, then there's stone fruit aromas of nectarine and white peach poking through. The palate is correspondingly bright and energetic yet not at the expense of texture. It's intense, long and as fresh as a daisy--a super example of new wave Adelaide Hills Chardonnay and, of course, excellent value for money.

James Halliday
Clones 76, 95, I10V1 and G9V9 wild-fermented in French oak (15% new). Bright straw-green; an easy to enjoy stone fruit style with a soft and creamy mid-palate, and a slash of acidity to close.

Even-keeled, finely wrought, succulent and long in flavour. Has good intensity of flavour, concentration, light carriage of nougat oak over pulpy lemon and green apple. Finishes in the long distance, superbly balanced and calm. Beautiful drinking.
